Feelin pretty sore

This is going to be a pretty short and sweet post- I am super duper tired and my body is hurting just a bit.  I did my second 3 mile run of the week and it went a lot smoother then yesterdays.  I drove a little ways to a bike path that was completely dried out- the pavement was much easier to run on.  The one draw back of this path is that it is right along the highway.  I mean it's far enough over that I'm not sucking in kick back from the cars passing by but, still, it's right there.  The first 1.5 mile was good, I didn't stop at all (funny though, this is the mile that I can always run straight through but it's also the mile I have to keep talking myself into finishing) and it felt pretty good.  At the turn around point I walked for 2 minutes and then two more times for a minute each.  I don't mind that I walked a little bit - I think total is was less than .25 of a mile so really not bad, starting to build up on my endurance :).  My total for the day (which includes warm up and cool down) was 3.66 miles- YAY!!! I finally broke through the two mile plateau.

STATS:
Mile 1- 13:02
Mile 2- 14:14
Mile 3- 13:51
Total Time: 41:07
About 13 minutes faster than yesterday but still a little slow.  Working on it though :).

We took Coop to the vet today, poor guy.  The good news is that the cut was pretty clean and since we've done a good job keeping it clean no stitches :).  I got a little bootie for him for when he goes outside and he absolutely hates it.  He doesn't tear it off but his limp gets a lot more noticeable when it's on.  Just glad he's alright and that whatever cut him didn't hit tendon or muscle- we got lucky :).

Happy Wednesday!!

Yay! Way to go! Breaking that two mile barrier was horribly tough for me too. Congratulations! I'll bet you felt amazing when you figured out how far you'd gone. Great Job!

Nice job breaking past 2 miles!! I get paranoid about cars passing me while I run, I just don't trust them!

Hope your doggie is better soon, and have a great weekend!
